kyckstart

Last weekend we took a bunch of kids from our church up to Kyckstart, in total there were around 2800 people there from all over NSW etc, and around 15-20 of those people were from my church. It was a good opportunity for all of us to hear some solid teaching and to be called to be serious about living our lives for Christ. It is encouraging to see lots of people together wanting to learn and grow in their faith. A few random pics (mostly taken in the carpark!)

Pocky

These dudes have stolen my identity. But it is quirky enough, so I don't have an issue with it!

oh my pain. arrrrgh!

Although relatively vague and nondescript, one would think that the words "just take a bit off, but not too much" and other instructions to that effect would not cause a hairdresser to think that I wanted to have my hair cut short like some angelic choirboy. Especially considering that my hair was quite long when the instructions were being given. However, today I went for a haircut and the crazed maniac I was unlucky enough to get, she hacks up my hair and makes it hell short. I can't even feel the hair move when I shake my head!! This is simply tragic. I do not know what to do. I am at a loss. RIP my long locks :-(

PS I am really really angry! Perhaps this will assist with me writing some killer agressive angular guitar riffs. Woot.

Silverchair Gig

To bring in the new year, me and Dorny headed to Newcastle to the sold out Silverchair gig. It was my first time seeing Silverchair so that was pretty cool. All in all, the gig wasn't awesome, but it was good nonetheless.

I managed to get a few blurry pics and also this lil video from Emotion Sickness. The sound sucks, but eh. Enjoy.

Painting boxes is fun

I spent much of Wednesday and today painting a bunch of boxes for the camp I am leading on next week. Just in case you were wondering, painting boxes is incredibly fun. For the first five minutes anyway. The camp is called Full On and is for kids from years 6-12 at my church. I don't really know what all these boxes are for. Apparently they are going to form all these famous landmarks and the kids are gonna run around the bush with them in the dark as part of some game.

Christmas pics

Here are just a few of the many pictures taken on Christmas Day 2006. Fashionable hats from the Christmas Bon-bons were worn by all for a short period of time only.

I also understand that an incident unfolded where the dancing and singing Santa Claus (in country & western attire no less!) booted Jesus from the nativity scene and danced up a storm. Reports indicate the animals and wise men were not impressed, and that Santa's dance moves just plain sucked. All photographic evidence of this incident has been destroyed. For the sake of our family, please let this incident never be mentioned ever again.

A selection of the remaining pictures is found below.
